15 THINGS ABOUT ULTRA INSTINCT YOU DIDN'T KNOW

"Ultra Instinct is an ultimate technique that separates the consciousness from the body, allowing it to move and fight independent of a martial artist's thoughts and emotions."

 I have already said about Ultra instinct in my blog WHAT IS AUTONOMOUS ULTRA INSTINCT?  but in this blog I am writing facts about Ultra Instinct. It is an extraordinarily difficult technique to master, even for the Gods of Destruction. However, angels like Whis has mastered it. Due to this, it is known as the "state of the gods". Most users of ultra instinct doesn't display a noticeable difference. However, Goku adopt a unique transformation when using it.

In the manga, God of destruction Beerus notes that any god would recognize this form as the technique Ultra Instinct. This seems to be the case in the anime as well, as Whis and Beerus both recognize it and the God of destruction from each universe stand to acknowledge Goku's achievement.

15. IT'S NOT EXACTLY A TRANSFORMATION

It is a kind of transformation because it changes the appearance, But Whis uses it and he does not change. It is a Technique, Maybe the user allows himself to change. It is similar to Kaio-ken. As with Kaio-ken, and that technique can also look a bit like a transformation. Goku triggers into Ultra Instinct in much the same way as Super Saiyan, but unlike that form, Ultra Instinct is more a state of being than a transformation. As a technique, it allows the user to completely clear their mind and focus entirely on the battle at hand. When its was hard to translate Ultra instinct from Japanese to English, Whis said it as technique not as transformation.

14. IT'S NOT A GUARANTEED WIN

Some people think while using ultra instinct it impossible for opponent to even land a blow, actually its wrong even mastered ultra instinct will not guarantee win. Stronger and faster the opponent is the easier it would be to land a blow, If a person eg. Vegeta, gets stronger and faster even without ultra instinct Vegeta would be able to land a blow. While using ultra instinct user makes their body relaxed which can get the user more damage. This technique allows the user to become completely aware of everything whats going on in a fight and react accordingly without thinking.

13. GOKU REGAINS HIS PERSONALITY THE LONGER HE USES IT

When Goku first used this technique he was like an other personality but it was very similar to when he first became Super saiyan form but was a bit different. Its like somebody evil with good guy created it so that the good ones who uses it doesn't holdback. The first fight in which Goku uses ultra instinct he didn't holdback, not at all and now in manga his holding back a little but the personality is same as he first time. Ultra Instinct shares some similarities with Super Saiyan - though, unlike Super Saiyan, Ultra Instinct is less about increasing strength and more about automatically defending oneself from threats and countering them.

12. VEGETA CAN'T ACHIEVE ULTRA INSTINCT

As Whis said to Vegeta he thinks too much and never relaxes like Goku, but Whis also said to Goku he relaxes too much and this relaxation helped him to master ultra instinct. His attitude is in direct conflict to how Ultra Instinct works. 11. BEERUS USES IT

We already know that Whis is able to handle Ultra Instinct rather naturally as was demonstrated in Dragon Ball Resurrection F, but we haven't seen anyone other than Goku use it in the anime. That's somewhat strange, considering Ultra Instinct is touted as the state of the gods, but thus far, we have only seen an angel and a mortal use it. That's in the anime, but over in the manga, we have seen someone else use it though that was slightly less incredible when compared to the animated series. The guy who nailed the transformation was none other than Beerus.

At the beginning of the Universe Survival arc, the Gods of Destruction are forced to fight by Zeno, so they throw down. Beerus is seen almost instantly tapping into and using Ultra Instinct. Interestingly, the manga never adapted Resurrection F so anyone who had only read the series and not watched the anime was left in the dark as far as foreshadowing was concerned. This left the display of Ultra Instinct a little less impactful than the one we finally saw Goku transform into on Dragon Ball Super, but you would be hard-pressed to find a reader of the manga who wasn't familiar with the anime.

10. GOKU IS THE ONLY MORTAL WHO  ACHIEVED ULTRA INSTINCT

Goku is only and the first Mortal who achieved ultra instinct. When it comes to Ultra Instinct, he stands even higher above his fellow mortals. As of the end of Dragon Ball Super, Goku is the only mortal to ever achieve Ultra Instinct and it seems he may hold the title indefinitely. As we have seen in Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Resurrection F, the only other beings capable of achieving any mastery of Ultra Instinct have been gods.

9. AT FIRST, IT WAS ONLY A DEFENSIVE MOVE

Ultra Instinct's core function is to allow the user to react without thinking. Reaction in a fight is generally a defensive technique, But Goku's moves were different whenever he uses Ultra instinct. Know an opponent's moves and avoid their attacks is one of Ultra Instinct's fundamental principles. It was for defense but it has it own moves which makes it different. He was able to tap into his deep potential within and negate all previous injuries.

8. ULTRA INSTINCT HAS STAGES

As Whis said their is still more beyond that. As he wasn't using ultra instinct perfectly maybe imperfect ultra instinct which was upgraded to perfected ultra instinct and it comes mastered ultra instinct maybe there is still form beyond that.

7. IT REACHES THE POWER OF GOD

As I said earlier ultra instinct is known as state of god can also be called as power of god. There’s a lot of discussion in Dragon Ball Super about whether characters have reached the power of Gods and it’s a debate that’s ignited ever since Goku obtains Super Saiyan God status. The first appearance of Ultra Instinct shocks the Gods of Destruction in a way where it seems like this transformation is finally at their level.

In fact, it’s not until Goku finally obtains Super Ultra Instinct in his fight against Moro that this gets confirmed. The transformation itself shakes the entire planet and Beerus admits that Goku may have reached God status.

6. IT GIVES USER A DOUBLE VOICE

It's a very big deal when Goku first briefly taps into Ultra Instinct form during his fight against Jiren in the Tournament of Power, but this demonstration only highlights how there are various stages of Ultra Instinct, each with their own conditions.

Super Ultra Instinct is the perfected version of all of this, but it cannot be achieved until the body first becomes comfortable with Ultra Instinct Sign. It's only after Goku endures intense training in the state with Merus that he's able to eventually advance.

5. INTENSE CONTROL OVER EMOTION IS REQUIRED

The Super Saiyan transformations have been linked to emotion ever since their first appearance. Intense emotion and trauma are often necessary to trigger new Super Saiyan transformations, but the reverse is true when it comes to Ultra Instinct.

Goku's entire relationship with the different forms of Ultra Instinct has largely been accidental and it's come as the result of Goku being in extreme danger rather than him reaching some epiphany. Finally, after the passing of Merus, it seems like Goku finally masters Ultra Instinct and the deciding factor here is how he's gained mastery over his emotions.

4. IT WENT THROUGH REVISIONS

It’s not unusual for the look of transformations to change during the production process, but this is especially true for the primary designs on Ultra Instinct. Super Ultra Instinct’s look was initially conceived by Akira Toriyama, but it's gone through many revisions over time that also reflects the various incomplete stages of this transformation.

Toriyama's initial design had a look closer to Super Saiyan God's style and a preference towards white hair. The approach to Ultra Instinct's aura, hairstyle, and color have subtly changed over time to the current silver look that's present for Super Ultra Instinct.

3. IT CAN KILL ITS USER

Ultra Instinct opens up a whole new plateau of power to the user, but it also comes at an exceptional price. Much like how Goku's Kaio-Ken Attack and Super Saiyan Blue transformation function, the use of Ultra Instinct puts extreme physical stress on the individual's body. This is even more pronounced with Super Ultra Instinct, wherein the misuse of this power has resulted in Goku's ki turning black and pushing him into a state of unconsciousness. Whis says that this behavior can even lead to the user's death.

2. IT IS ACTUALLY CALLED AS AUTONOMOUS ULTRA INSTINCT

There’s a long-running tradition within Dragon Ball for there to be multiple names for the same transformation as the series tries to figure out the most appealing nomenclature. There’s still lots of debate over Ultra Super Saiyan, Advanced Super Saiyan, and other forms and it’s easy to forget that Super Saiyan Blue was first called Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Accordingly, the perfected form of Ultra Instinct is known as Super Ultra Instinct, but it’s also frequently called Autonomous Ultra Instinct, in reference to how Goku can conjure the skill at will and not have it be a random occurrence.

1. IT IS BASED ON REAL-LIFE MARTIAL ART DISCIPLINE

Dragon Ball Z is obviously a very heightened series that's gotten far away from the somewhat grounded place where the original series started. That being said, there are still occasions where Dragon Ball turns to real life for inspiration.

The Martial Arts practice of Mushin refers to a "no-mind" state of existence that is just like how Super Ultra Instinct operates. Actual Mushin practitioners experience a calmer change in demeanor and Goku goes through this same personality change when he taps into this power.
