10 DRAGON BALL SUPER FAN THEORIES WHICH CAME TRUE
When new series such as Dragon ball, fan like speculate on what they are going to see next, Serving as a sequel to the original Dragon Ball manga, this series premiered as both a manga and an anime in 2015, which ran side-by-side.
10. Universal Travel Would Be Involved
Fans were hoping that, since the multiverse within the Dragon Ball universe has at least 12 universes, the new series would feature the characters traveling to other universes.
Eventually, it was confirmed that the Z fighters would interact with Universe 6, while some characters from there would appear in Universe 7, which is where the regular heroes live. Universe 11 also proved important to one of the arcs.
9. Champa Was From Universe 6

8. Ginyu Would Switch Bodies With Tagoma
Fans were expecting a return of Captain Ginyu, the leader of his namesake Ginyu Force, who was known for his ability to switch bodies. However, Frieza's men were unable to find New Namek, which meant they were unable to revive Frieza and that Ginyu would need a new body.
While still in the body of a frog, Ginyu ends up seeing Sorbet and Tagoma place Frieza's body into containment and witnesses the latter getting attacked by Gotenks. Ginyu takes advantage of the situation by tricking Tagoma into reading the word "Change," allowing the former to change bodies with the latter.
7. Monaka Wasn't A Good Fighter
Monaka was introduced as the hero of his planet, Wagashi; more importantly, Beerus claimed Monaka was the strongest fighter he ever went up against. However, fans began to become suspicious. Appearances can be deceiving, but when he almost cries after being punched by Goku and passes out from the Kamehameha Wave, it seems that something is up.
While some fans theorized that perhaps Monaka was a legacy character, it eventually turned out that Beerus made up the stories about Monaka's strength to drive Goku and Vegeta to grow stronger. The real Monaka was just a deliveryman, although this does give him a lot of information about the universe. On the Dragon Ball Super rival danger scale, he actually ranks less than one out of twelve.
6. There Is A Being That Rules The 12 Universes
Fans also began to suspect that the 12 universes might have had a being that rules all of them. After all, if the universes could have a God of Destruction, another being might be keeping them in check. The angelic Whis was also presumed to be more than he seemed but he genuinely appears to be an attendant for Beerus.

However, the idea of a supreme being might not have been too far-fetched. Eventually, viewers were introduced to Grand Zeno, the Omni-King, whose name means "King of All." He is the supreme ruler of the multiverse. He technically has a co-ruler, though, but it's Future Zeno, who is simply his time-traveling counterpart from the same timeline that Future Trunks comes from.
5. Goku Would Face His Evil Alter-Ego
With all the theories about characters traveling across dimensions, fans suspecting that Goku would encounter an evil counterpart of himself, especially after the previous fan theories turned out to be true. After all, a different universe is bound to have its own version of Goku. The franchise arguably already toyed with a similar idea in Goku's brother Raditz.
Eventually, this proved to be true when Goku Black was revealed and he even turned out to be the main villain of the Future Trunks story arc. However, his origins are a bit more complicated than simply being an evil version of Goku. It turns out that he's actually Zamasu, who took over the body of the Goku from the original unaltered timeline thanks to the Super Dragon Balls.
4. Future Bulma Is Dead
When fans noticed that Future Trunks was wearing a bandana similar to the one belonging to his mother, they began to suspect the worst for Future Bulma. Versions of this theory usually treated Future Bulma as a posthumous character in her timeline.
This one turned out to be partially true. Future Bulma was initially revealed to be alive. In fact, she was one of the last surviving members of the Dragon Team in her timeline, along with Future Trunks, and she was the one behind the technology that helped him travel to the past. However, audiences would see her meet her demise at the hands of Goku Black. And then Future Zeno erased the timeline to kill Zamasu. However, another version of her is still alive in a new timeline in both the manga and anime, but the circumstances are different.
3. Future Mai Is Alive
While it seemed that Goku Black killed any remaining survivors from Future Trunks' timeline, fans were suspicious about Mai. She seemed to appear too frequently in promotional material to not have a large role in the series, but this could have been taken out of context.
However, this turned out to be true. Future Mai did initially seem to be killed by Goku Black, but she was merely unconscious. She would assist Trunks throughout the story arc and would even be one of the characters to survive Future Zeno erasing the multiverse, causing her to live in a timeline with another Future Mai.
2. Zamasu Would Lose His Immortality
When fans learned Goku Black's origins, they suspected Zamasu's new body came at a price. It was assumed he might have lost his regeneration powers in the transaction.
This one turned out to be technically true, but not in the way fans expected it. Merged Zamasu is indeed immortal, but since Goku Black's body is mortal, his body can be killed with enough damage. Goku Black also explicitly has no interest in gaining immortality and, in the end, Zamasu ends up being erased from existence.
1. Vegito Would Appear
One way of showcasing just how high the stakes are is to have Goku and Vegeta fuse together and become Vegito, also known as Vegetto. Fans were hoping that this fusion would appear in Dragon Ball Super.
In the end, the two would fuse together in order to fight Merged Zamasu. The latter is no match for Vegito, but Fused Zamasu does better than others who have fought against him.
